Boys’ Roundup : Bishop’s Fourth-Quarter Comeback Catches Immanuel in Division V

Bishop’s High School outscored Immanuel, 19-10, in the fourth quarter for a 51-48 victory in a Southern California Regional Division V boys’ basketball game at Reedley.
Bishop’s, 23-1 and the fourth seed, overcame foul trouble in the first half to defeat fifth-seeded Immanuel (18-8).
“We were a little timid in the first three quarters, and we played timid in the (San Diego Section) final,” Bishop’s Coach Ren Marquette said. “We just decided to take the ball inside. We started to penetrate a little with our guards.”
Maurile Tremblay scored 14 points and Kamal Assaf added 12 for Bishop’s.
DIVISION II
Bakersfield Foothill 68, El Camino 66 (2 OT)--Archie Wright made two free throws with two seconds remaining in the second overtime to give top-seeded Foothill (25-4) the victory at home. Lee Cobb scored 20 points and David Hill added 17 to lead El Camino (22-6), the eighth seed.
DIVISION IV
Beaumont 70, Christian 57--Scott Haskin scored 21 points and Todd Thurman added 18 to lead third-seeded Beaumont (24-5) at home. David Jeremiah scored 21 points to lead sixth-seeded Christian (12-13).
Washington Union 86, Mt. Empire 40--Four players scored in double figures to lead Washington Union at Fresno.
