Williams Holdings PLC has announced that Williams Holdings Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of Williams, has acquired Kwal-Howells from Standard Brands Paint Co., Torrance. Kwal-Howells is the leading regional paint company in the Rocky Mountain region. Kwal-Howells manufactures and markets architectural paints and distributes industrial paints, wall coverings, sundries and spray equipment. Williams paid $8.5 million for Kwal-Howells, $3.7 million for common stocks and the repayment of $4.8 million in debt.
