Post Office

Despite the fact that the post office is once again about to raise its rates for postage stamps, certainly not justified by the present rate of inflation or general economic conditions, it’s probably silly to ask whether services will be coordinately improved.
Maybe just as silly is the question, “Will they use a part of that increase for an adhesive which will hold the stamp to the envelope, as in the days when stamps were only 3 cents?” Or am I confusing past days of efficiency, economy and service with today’s hard realities?
