Eddy Planckaert of Belgium won the cycling Tour of Flanders by outsprinting Australian Phil Anderson to the finish at Meerbeke, Belgium.
Dutchman Adri Van Der Poel was almost half a minute behind the leading pair, outsprinting Ireland’s Sean Kelly for third place. Belgian Mark Sergeant took fifth place in the 173-mile race.
