Libyan leader Moammar Kadafi announced that he has ordered the withdrawal of a division of troops stationed along the Tunisian border, Libya’s official news agency reported. Speaking at a meeting attended by visiting Tunisian Premier Hedi Baccouche, Kadafi also said he has dissolved the “Badr Brigade,” whose mission was to “take action in Tunisia in case the country is used by the United States to carry out attacks against Libya.” Tunisia renewed diplomatic ties with Libya last December after a 2-year break prompted by a mass Libyan expulsion of Tunisian migrant workers.
