Pitt football Coach Mike Gottfried has lost his campaign to keep All-American running back Craig (Ironhead) Heyward out of the NFL draft April 24-25.
Heyward and former Brigham Young tight end Trevor Molini were granted eligibility for the NFL draft this month, the league said. The 285-pound Heyward was the nation’s second-leading rusher with 1,655 yards last season.
