BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iranian missiles slammed into Baghdad and the northern city of Mosul on Friday after Iraq fired missiles at four cities in Iran, the Baghdad government said.
Several people were killed or wounded in both Iraqi cities, a military spokesman said.
Iraq earlier fired missiles at Tehran, the northwest city of Tabriz, the central historic city of Esfahan and the holy city of Qom several hours before Iranians began voting for a new Parliament.
Iraq has now fired 149 missiles at Iranian cities while Iran has launched 67 at Baghdad and other Iraqi centers since the “war of the cities” resumed in February.
