Two Japanese firms have paid more than $12 million for the former downtown campus of Woodbury University, which last summer relocated to Burbank.
A four-story, 74,000-square-foot building and its site at 1027 Wilshire Blvd. was sold to Maruko Inc., represented by Koar Inc., according to a spokesman for Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate Services, which represented Woodbury. A 3-story building and a parking lot across the street were sold to Mitsugi American Corp., represented by Town & Shore Realty.
Woodbury University, a business and professional college, was founded by W.C. Woodbury in 1884 on North Main Street.
