What if the Oscars get canceled or delayed this year--as they did when President Ronald Reagan was shot in 1981? No problem this time, now that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has insured against it. The insurance--known as an “event cancellation policy”--guarantees full payment of all expenses incurred by the delay, if a situation occurs outside the academy’s control.
