A 30-year-old San Clemente man was arrested Sunday immediately after he allegedly held up a Coco’s Family Restaurant branch at 18380 Brookhurst St. and was leaving the restaurant, police reported.
Officers said they had been alerted to a robbery in progress by the manager, Robert Musser, 34, who was talking on the phone to another branch manager when a man walked in about 1:40 a.m. Sunday and announced a holdup. That other branch manager, who was not identified, called Fountain Valley police.
The initial police report did not disclose how much money the alleged robber took. Police said they arrested the suspect, identified as Robert Clark Brown, as he was going out the door of the restaurant branch.
