A Writers Guild of America committee is remaining tight-lipped to those querying about the possibility that any union members wrote scripts for the 60th annual Academy Awards show, in violation of the ongoing strike against film and television producers. “We do not make ongoing investigations public,” WGA spokeswoman Cheryl Rhoden said. “We don’t disclose if they (the committee) uncovered any violations or not.” The union, which struck the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers on March 7, warned members before the Oscarcast that they would be looking for violations.
