‘Amorosa’
Sweden, 1986, 117 minutes , 8 p.m . Around the tortured figure of novelist Agnes von Krusenstjarna--who wrote sexual exposes based on her upper-class family--and her bisexual lover, David Sprengel, Mai Zetterling spins a web of sex, decadence, love, art, class and madness. Sometimes incoherent--but the performances are superb, and the ambiance sticky with lust and despair.
RECOMMENDED.
