Football Coach Mike Gottfried of the University of Pittsburgh signed a long-term, guaranteed contract that will pay a bonus based on the graduation rate of players.
“The contract pretty much commits me to Pitt for the rest of my coaching career,” said Gottfried, who had previously said he wanted to coach in the NFL.
Neither Athletic Director Edward Bozik, nor Gottfried would disclose the length, or the financial terms of the agreement.
