Haruo Shikanai, 42, chairman of Fuji Sankei Communications Group of Japan. Among the conglomerate’s holdings are Sankei Shimbun, a nationally circulated daily newspaper of 2 million; Nippon Broadcasting Corp., a radio station; Fuji Television Network Inc., and 103 smaller companies, including publishing houses and production studios. Fuji Sankei was established in 1968. He took over the presidency of Fuji Television at age 35 and served as the group’s chairman, succeeding his father as president of Sankei Shimbun and Nippon Broadcasting in 1985.
