Procter & Gamble’s income rose 40% to $263 million in the third quarter on a 15% increase in revenue to $4.86 billion. The Cincinnati cleaning, laundry and consumer products company said results were helped by the lower U.S. statutory tax rate provided by the Tax Reform Act of 1986.
