Shhhhh! Please don’t write any more about le magnifique “Strasbourg” (April 24). It has been my home away from home for many years. Place Kleber, Place de la Cathedrale, Let Petit Francoise are magical. And they are mine!
If one must visit Strasbourg, head southwest to Rosheim and Mutzig. Rosheim is charm. Drive the wooded area about six or seven miles to Boersch, “un des plus beau berceaux de’l Alsace.” And, there experience Schaetzel, “a cave 1722 on atelier du tournelier.” The torte flambert is outstanding (five stars) and le vin, les fines eaux de vie. Ooh la la! Shhhhh!
