Two cars and a private school bus, which was taking students to a puppet show, collided at an Altadena intersection Friday morning, causing minor injuries to 16 children and five adults, authorities said.
The students were kindergartners and third-graders among 55 students on a field trip to Los Angeles from St. Elizabeth’s Catholic School in Altadena, said Cathy Venengoni, the school secretary.
Seven students were treated for “very minor” injuries at St. Luke’s Hospital and released, spokeswoman Sue McPherson said. Nine students and five adults were sent to Huntington Memorial Hospital and all were in good and stable condition.
The accident occurred at 9:18 a.m. near the Altadena-Pasadena border.
