Brazil’s Japanese Increase

SAO PAULO, Brazil — The Japanese population in Brazil has passed the 1 million mark, the Center for Nipo-Brazilian Studies announced Tuesday. The study, conducted as part of the Japanese community’s 80th anniversary in Brazil, found that 70% of Brazil’s Japanese are in the state of Sao Paulo.
