An explosion in Kuwait’s capital ripped apart a car near the downtown headquarters of Kuwait Airways, killing the vehicle’s two occupants, the Kuwait News Agency said. The explosion, which occurred about 25 yards from the airline office, caused no significant damage apart from the wrecked vehicle, the news agency said. The explosion was the third in less than a month in the northern Persian Gulf country, all of which occurred in the same area. The first, on April 27, injured a guard near the offices of the Saudi national airline. On May 7, an explosion occurred at the offices of Avis, the American car rental company.
