A new $5 million processing line that can handle citrus fruit and tomatoes simultaneously was opened by Riverbend International at the farming-packing firm’s plant in Yuma, Ariz. It is the state’s first such facility. Publicly traded Riverbend, which is based in Sanger, Calif., also said it bought a fresh citrus packing plant in Weslaco, Tex., for $1.5 million.
