Local News in Brief : Pacoima Boy, 12, Hurt in Drive-By Shooting

A12-year-old Pacoima boy was in stable condition Monday after being wounded in what may have been a gang-related shooting, Los Angeles police said.
Sgt. Sol Polen said a gunman fired at the boy from a passing car at 7 p.m. Sunday as he stood in front of his house on Desmond Street near Glenoaks Boulevard. The boy, wounded in the buttocks, was listed in stable condition at Holy Cross Medical Center.
Witnesses told police it was impossible to determine which car the shots came from, since three or four vehicles were driving along the street at the time of the incident, Polen said.
