ROCK DAD OF THE YEAR: This year’s award goes--by acclamation--to Capitol Records president Dave Berman. In a recent interview with Hits magazine, he acknowledged being such a Bob Marley fan that he was determined to pass the name along to his son. When he had a daughter first, he simply named her Rebecca Marley Berman. He also confessed: “The day she was born I left her and my wife to go catch Bob Marley at the Roxy. My wife couldn’t believe it, but I told her, ‘Honey, I gotta go. Sorry.” (We figure that makes Berman’s wife, Sandy, an instant leading candidate for Most Understanding Rock Wife of the Year).
