Magic Johnson, Bird and Jordan to Play in Benefit Game June 26

INDIANAPOLIS — Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan will headline the cast for a benefit basketball game June 26 in Market Square Arena.
Bird is the official host for “Larry’s Game,” which will provide scholarships for Indiana students at state universities and colleges.
Indiana Pacers Coach Jack Ramsay will coach one team and his former assistant, Charlotte Hornets Coach Dick Harter, will coach the other.
Bird unveiled the rosters during a news conference. Bird, a former college player of the year at Indiana State and a Boston Celtics all-star forward, will play on Ramsay’s team. Johnson, whose Lakers are in the NBA finals against Detroit, will be Bird’s teammate.
Ramsay’s team also includes Mark Aguirre of Dallas, Vern Fleming of Indiana, Ron Harper of Cleveland, Jack Sikma of Milwaukee, Ray Tolbert of the Lakers, Randy Wittman of Atlanta and Mike Woodson of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Harter’s red team features Jordan of the Chicago Bulls, Steve Alford of Dallas, Sidney Green of New York, Mark Jackson of New York, Chuck Person of Indiana, Isiah Thomas of Detroit, Wayman Tisdale of Indiana, Dominique Wilkins of Atlanta and Herb Williams of Indiana.
