Paris Train Toll Rises to 59

PARIS — The death toll in France’s worst-ever suburban train crash rose to 59 today after some of the survivors pulled out of the twisted remains of two commuter trains died in hospitals, officials of the French state railways said.
Firemen and police disentangling the wreckage at Paris’ busy Gare de Lyon station the day after the Monday evening rush hour disaster said 55 dead had been dragged out of the debris. Four badly injured survivors later died. There were over 40 injured.
