Kansas City Signs Valley Dodgers’ Jundy

Lorin Jundy, a right-handed pitcher for the San Fernando Valley Dodgers, signed a contract Friday night with the Kansas City Royals and has been assigned to Haines City, Fla., the Royals’ Rookie League affiliate in the Gulf Coast League.
Jundy, 22, played at Palmdale High and originally signed with the New York Mets in June, 1984. He was released during spring training this season and compiled a 4-0 record for the Valley Dodgers.
