Author Alice Walker (“The Color Purple”) joins the lineup of the fourth annual Poetry/Literary Series at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. Also scheduled: Nobel Prize-winner Czeslaw Milosz (“Collected Poems 1931-1987”), Robert Mezey (“The Lovemaker”), David St. John (“Hush”), Paul Monette (“Borrowed Time: An AIDS Memoir”) and Gary Snyder (“Left Out in the Rain”). The program of open-to-the-public readings begins Sept. 12 and will continue through January.
