High-Tech Firm Is Acquired by Rockwell

Rockwell International Corp. of El Segundo said it completed the previously reported acquisition of Communication Machinery Corp. of Santa Barbara.
The purchase price, about half of which will be paid in Rockwell common stock, was $40 million.
Rockwell said Communication Machinery is a supplier of software and hardware products for local-area networks and will join Rockwell’s electronics operations.
