Citing his work in his first year, the Board of Education voted recently to increase School Supt. Robert French’s salary and to extend his contract.
The June 28 action raises French’s annual salary to $92,300 from the $83,000 he received in 1987-88. His three-year contract, which began in July, 1987, was extended through June, 1991.
Fred Stern, president of the Board of Education, said the contract changes recognize French’s performance and his commitment to education.
