Columbia Pictures Entertainment reported a profit of $4.3 million and revenue of $410.5 million for the first quarter. These are the first full quarterly results since the New York entertainment company was formed by the combination of Tri-Star Pictures and the entertainment business unit of Coca-Cola Co. on Dec. 17, 1987. Thus, the results for the quarter ended May 31, 1988, are not comparable to any prior period.
