Revenge of the Movie Location People

Living in Los Angeles and complaining about a film production on your street, as letter writer Ron Krueger did (Calendar Letters, July 10), is like living on Cape Cod and complaining about all those damn fishing boats.

As industries go, film is rather benign; it doesn’t produce toxic wastes, pollute the air, or produce inherently dangerous products. Still, people find things to complain about, mostly that film crews inconvenience them.

Well, this is Los Angeles and this is what we do here. Sorry about the inconvenience, but you, or someone you know, make your living with this industry, so please try not to drive it away.

I wish Krueger luck in selling his house. Maybe he’ll move under the LAX flight path and complain about jet noise.
