PerfectData Cuts Loss to $65,000 for Period

PerfectData Corp. said its loss for the fourth quarter that ended March 31 narrowed to $65,000, from $331,000 a year earlier. Sales rose 23% to $1.2 million.
For the fiscal year, PerfectData lost $287,000, compared to a loss of $946,000 a year earlier. Sales were virtually flat, at $4.1 million.
The Simi Valley company, which sells computer-care products, attributed the reduced loss to a restructuring of its operations into wholesaling instead of manufacturing.
