Tacuma Shareef, a Lynwood High School teacher sought for a week in the shooting death of his estranged 22-year-old wife, surrendered to Los Angeles Angeles County sheriff’s deputies at the downtown Hall of Justice Friday morning and was booked on suspicion of murder.
Homicide detectives said the man’s live-in teen-age girlfriend claimed she fired the shots that killed Kriscita Shareef, believing that the woman was a burglar. But the detectives said evidence indicated that Tacuma Shareef, 35, was the killer.
Kriscita Shareef, a former student of her husband, was shot to death July 15 at the couple’s home in Walnut.
