Regional Solutions to Traffic Problems

The rail line, the Harriett Wieder-Las Vegas people mover concept and 1984’s Proposition A all point to one thing: People are tired of sitting in traffic sucking up smog.
From Ventura County in the north to Riverside and San Bernardino in the east and Orange County to the south, we are slowly becoming one big metropolis. A unified concept involving all the business and political leaders from these areas needs to be ironed out and made a reality.
The Bay Area in Northern California managed to bring together a multitude of cities and achieve a great mass transit system--the Bay Area Rapid Transit system. Surely with all the talent we have in Southern California we can put together something similar if not better than our neighbors to the north!
