Toronto Sun Publishing Corp. said it hopes to sign an agreement to buy a Washington-area printing plant, a move that could lead to a third daily newspaper in the nation’s capital. President Doug Creighton said Sun Publishing wants to purchase the Comprint Inc. of Gaithersburg, Md., plant for $10.2 million, with the goal of starting a newspaper in Washington at some point.
