SANTA ANA — The former girlfriend of Boston Red Sox star Wade Boggs struck out in court today when a commissioner threw out her suit seeking $6 million compensation for four years of part-time companionship.
“Score one for Wade Boggs,” exulted Jennifer King, attorney for the four-time American League batting champion. The suit by Margo Adams, 32, of Costa Mesa sought $6 million in punitive damages and compensation for lost wages for time she spent on Sox road trips with Boggs, 30, who is married and has two children. Orange County Superior Court Commissioner Eleanor Palk rejected the suit as being improperly grounded in law.
