National Health Care Systems of Irvine posted net income of $5,776 for the second quarter, contrasted with a net loss of $47,126 for the period last year. Revenue totaled $1.2 million, a 26% increase from the $954,949 reported a year earlier. Net income for the first half was $30,975, contrasted with a loss of $25,767 for the period a year ago. Revenue rose 25% to $2.3 million from $1.9 million. Dr. Carl E. Bozzo, chairman and chief executive officer, attributed the gains to heavier emphases on marketing and cost control under the management team that assumed control last year. The company offers prepaid dental plans to employer groups, cities, trusts and associations and also to families and individuals.
