Itel Raises Stake in American President

Itel Corp. increased its stake in American President Cos. to the equivalent of 12.5%, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The San Francisco-based leasing company bought 162,700 of American President’s common shares from Aug. 10 to 12 at prices ranging from $56.25 to $56.75 each.
