In a move that had been rumored in the record business for months, MCA Music Entertainment Group has appointed Alvin N. Teller as president and chief operating officer of MCA Records and vice president of parent MCA Inc. Formerly a senior vice president of Columbia Records, Teller will oversee MCA worldwide record operations, reporting to Irving Azoff, chairman of the MCA’s Music Entertainment Group.
