The body of an unidentified young man was apparently dumped from a vehicle Friday morning and then dragged into a dense field of ice plant near Interstate 805 and Camino del Rio North, San Diego police said.
The victim, whose identity was not immediately known, was believed to have been shot elsewhere, then hidden in the field in the 2600 block of Camino del Rio North, near the northbound I-805 connector ramp to westbound Interstate 8.
A Caltrans worker found the body there about 11:40 a.m.
The San Diego County coroner’s office said an autopsy is planned for today. The victim was described as black, 25 to 30 years old, wearing a yellow shirt and multicolored pants.
