LES MISERABLES

“Les Miserables,” Margo Kaufman’s entry in the Dagwood Bumstead school of journalism, was appropriately titled. To be sure, the portrayal of her husband was “miserable.” Perhaps a 38-year-old man who is given to such pronouncements as “My tummy hurts” is not a fair model for the rest of us. Or perhaps he has an excellent reason for getting sick.
