Yellowstone Park Fires
The editorials are a thoughtful and reasonable approach to understanding the fires that have been burning in Yellowstone.
Although it is to be regretted that some people have had to suffer hardships because of them, the unprecedented conditions that prevented the superior efforts of the firefighters from putting them out should most certainly be taken into consideration when the future policy of the Park Service is assessed.
It would be well for those who will rake these fires over the coals to examine why the let-burn policy was adopted in the first place before making any drastic changes.
