A 30-day jail sentence will “continue to hang over” Glenda Brawley even though she and her family have moved to Virginia after months of controversy over an alleged racially tinged sexual assault, authorities said. Glenda Brawley is the mother of Tawana Brawley, the black teen-ager who said she was abducted and raped by a gang of white men. The Wappingers Falls family left the state several weeks ago after Glenda Brawley was sentenced for refusing to testify before a grand jury investigating the allegations made by her daughter.
