Local News in Brief : Chemicals Used in Making PCP Seized
- Share via
Federal drug agents raided a Compton home and seized enough chemicals to manufacture 300 gallons of the drug PCP, worth about $3 million on the streets, authorities said.
There were no arrests in the raid, which was part of a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration investigation into Southern California PCP manufacturing, authorities said. Some of the PCP, an animal tranquilizer used as a hallucinogenic, was being sold in Southern California by street gangs, officials said, but the rest was shipped to other areas of the country.
