It was one of the worst summers ever for trout fishermen at Crowley Lake, but fly fishermen this fall have been getting excellent results at the Eastern Sierra reservoir.
Fishing from float-tubes has been the best method, with anglers working McGee Bay, Green Banks and Sandy Point spicing their pan-sized rainbow trout catches with an occasional large brown.
Mark Berg of Los Angeles caught a 5-pound brown trout, and several others of similar size have been reported.
