Community College Roundup : Orange Coast Sweeps Past Cypress

Sophomore middle blocker Jody Fee had 11 kills and 8 aces to lead the Orange Coast College women’s volleyball team to a 15-10, 15-6, 16-14 victory over Cypress Wednesday in an Orange Empire Conference match at Orange Coast College.
OCC setter Lisa McBroom had 25 assists. OCC is 3-4 overall and 1-1 in league, while Cypress falls to 0-9 and 0-3.
In other Orange Empire action:
Fullerton 3, Riverside City 2--Fullerton, led by Sue Guest’s 16 kills, won, 15-11, 15-6, 12-15, 12-15, 15-10, at home.
Golden West 3, Rancho Santiago 0--Golden West sophomore Jackie Cook had 10 kills and 6 aces to lead the Rustlers to a 15-7, 15-2, 15-7 victory at Rancho Santiago.
In South Coast Conference wrestling:
Rancho Santiago 41, Mt. San Antonio 11--Bret Fry, formerly of San Clemente High School, pinned Ray Evans 1:13 into the first period to help Rancho Santiago to an easy victory at Mt. San Antonio.
