Local News in Brief : Buena Park : Man Held on Charges of Burning Own House

Capping a three-year investigation, a Buena Park man was arrested on charges that he burned down his own house, fire officials said Friday.
Officials charged that John Randolph Cafarelli, 41, arrested by Buena Park police Thursday, set fire to his single-story family home at in the 4000 block of Farqhar, Los Alamitos, on Nov. 12, 1985.
The fire gutted the home, causing $100,000 in damage.
Cafarelli was jailed on a $50,000 arrest warrant, officials said. He has posted bail and been released.
