Anne F. Odell has been appointed planning director for Pasadena. She previously was supervising planner for the Southern California Rapid Transit District Department of Planning.
Dean Conklin has been named principal of Washington Elementary School in Glendora in the Charter Oak Unified School District. He previously was assistant principal at Royal Oak Intermediate School in the same district.
Charles H. Holland Jr. has been elected president of the Alumni Assn. of Caltech. Holland, a 1964 physics graduate, is a vice president of Citibank/Citicorp.
Nancy Manners, mayor of West Covina, has been named president of the board of directors of Mid-Valley Community Mental Health Council. The organization is managed by the cities of Baldwin Park, Bradbury, Duarte, El Monte, La Puente, South El Monte and West Covina.
Ed Zoolalian of Monrovia has been named chairman of the Foothill Private Industry Council that oversees job training programs in the San Gabriel Valley. The council represents business, labor, educational and community leaders from Arcadia, Duarte, Monrovia, Pasadena, Sierra Madre and South Pasadena.
