PARIS — The Arch of Triumph, the French capital’s famed monument on the Champs Elysees, will be closed Monday for two months of repairs, officials said Friday.
Work on the monument is under way to repair damage from water and pollution. The arch is to be closed to permit work on its foundation, and it will reopen to the public Dec. 15, officials said.
The $5.6-million project is being paid for by the government and by private contributions.
