Mayor Art Agnos, hoping to keep the Giants in San Francisco, has asked developers to submit bids on a new 42,000-seat downtown baseball stadium and a 20,000-seat indoor arena.
Agnos set a deadline of Nov. 8 and said he will consider “limited city financial involvement,” although he prefers that the stadium be privately financed and self-sustaining.
