Israel President Ends French Visit

PARIS — Israeli President Chaim Herzog flew to Tel Aviv Friday after a five-day state visit to France, De Gaulle airport sources said.
During his visit, Herzog made a sentimental trip to the Normandy beaches where he took part in the British army’s 1944 landing. He also made a flying call at a synagogue founded by his grandfather in Paris.
